AFROSCOPE

5 | Project Overview

My project explores how art-led interventions can support the preservation and protection of coastal wetlands across Ghana, starting with the Sakumo Lagoon.

It builds on the work my team and I started through our project, “We Have Decided!”.
The Sakumo Lagoon is a rapidly declining Ramsar Site located in Tema, Ghana where I grew up.

A Ramsar site is a wetland site designated to be of international importance under the Ramsar Convention.
