AFROSCOPE

WHAT IF MY TIME HAS PASSED?

What if my time has passed?
And my recent successes happen to be my last?
All my moments gone forever
Resting in peace at the bottom of an hour glass
'Hope' now a pile of dust--a tad better than ash
What if all that's good only exists in my past?

And the tides never turn
And purpose does not return
And the mind constantly spins
And life takes a sharper downturn

Steep decline:
Out of control
Out of hand
Crash!

Little to live for now
Screams for help abound:
"Someone show me how"
"To keep striving; to be alive again"
But the winds of time also carried away the crowd
So barely a soul hears when I speak out loud

"It's only you now, it's only you now"
